Season 1, Episode 1: A Long Way from Home

Bobby Singer made himself wait until he'd picked up dinner, checked into the motel, and cracked open a cold beer before he dialed the phone.  He couldn't stop himself from tensing as the phone rang.  What if she didn't pick up? Hours away from Bobby's room, Ellen Harvelle stoked the fire.  Summer was scarcely over, too early to need a fire, but it had seemed right to light one, with the others all away from the house.   She hefted the fire poker in her hand before she put it away, aware of its weight, the fact that it was made of iron.   A potential weapon, one of several within her reach, but the house felt safe in spite of its air of anticipation.   When the phone rang she hurried to pick it up. MerMay 2022

Image
As of 2022, I knew about MerMay and eagerly looked forward to @thadollylama 's prompts.  In fact, I went all out, with an underwater "downtown" set, seven of the main characters from my Supernatural doll stories, and even a complete parody of an episode of Supernatural. Image
If you're making the jukebox, have I got a post for you... Get  the free printable  here , then keep reading for step-by-step assembly instructions: Make the sides and back: Make the base: Make the first shelf and the decorative "cloth" speaker cover: Make and install the "chrome" strips: (Next to the printable is a prototype I made a while ago.  You can see that instead of groups of three, I only put in three single strips.  The original artwork has nine chrome strips!  You can customize your jukebox however you want.) Finish the first shelf: Finish the back and make the second shelf: You're in the home stretch now.  Trim the top of the jukebox with chrome and install the album cover art: Finished!  Or, add extra detail if desired: (The first jukebox I made, I glued the yellow song selection buttons on flat like the original jukebox artwork from Mattel.  I made three-dimensional yellow buttons.  They were tiny and tedious and frustrating to ...
